Crest Awards

Dollar Academy pupils enjoyed considerable success at the recent Scottish Crest Awards which were held at the University of Dundee. Sarah Hawkins (J2) won a Bronze Technology Award for her project on Energy Saving Light bulbs. Sarah McCann (J2) won the Dr. Bill Bryce Award for her project on Diabetes and Exercise. This award is for the best project throughout the Science Fair. Kirsty Smith (FIV) and Vijaytha Muralidharan (FIV) won the Silver Crest Award for their project on the Increasing Incidence of TB in the World. Sarah Hawkins, Kirsty and Vijaytha will now progress to the BA Crest Awards at the Royal Society in London in February 2009.
