Dollar Academy 1st X1 has been awarded the Scottish School Cricket Team of the year 2007 by the Scottish Forty Club.  The team was presented with the XL club shield at this year’s match in early June. Matthew Bremner (FVI), who has captained the team for the past two years, received the shield on behalf of the squad.  The 1st X1 have had an excellent season so far, winning seven matches and only losing to Merchiston and (narrowly) to Fettes College. The final matches left to play are against some tough opposition: Edinburgh Academy, Stewart’s Melville and a star studded Rector’s X1.
