Boys' Tennis

Congratulations to the Boys’ Tennis team, which advanced to the last 16 of the Scottish Boys’ Tennis Team Championships on Wednesday, defeating a very strong side from Balerno High.  The players, who have been practising every Friday after School at Dollar Tennis Club, are Jamie Chalmers (FVI), Robbie Shedden (FVI), Calum McRae (FV) and Tom Henderson (FIV).  Scores were level at 3-3 after the singles and doubles rubbers.  In the competition’s equivalent of extra time, the ‘tiebreak shootout’, Dollar won the last of three shootouts by 10 points to 8.  We are likely to host a school from the Borders in the next round.
